NASDAQ Close Contest Winners

So I was enjoying family festivities all yesterday since it was Mother’s day, and woke up this morning feeling like I missed something, and that something was the final update for the contest! No worries though, the winners have be found, and someone will be added to the hall of fame, let’s find out who!

The contest for those just joining us is a bi-weekly contest to see who can most closely guess the close of the NASDAQ composite market index…. a week in advance! The closest guess wins the contest and is added to the hall of fame which is displayed proudly on the sidebar. If anyone can guess the close exactly to the penny, I will give them $150 cash.

Congratulations to mataspeed who is our winner! His guess of 2561.60 was only off the close by .62! This doesn’t beat the current record set by Bull Trader last contest being off by only .30, but hey, winning is winning!

mataspeed will now officially join Bull Trader, Million Dollar Journey, Jim Kingsland, and Julie Adams in the hall of fame.

Next Contest Preview

The next stock trading contest will launch this upcoming Friday, May 18th, and will simply take on the name, “Stock Trading VI”, with VI standing for 6. I am also going to bring back the multi-blogger format which seems to be more fun.

Alongside the cash prize for guessing the close exactly (which will now be bumped up to $200), there will also be two added categories for contestants to participate in. The first will be to guess one stock pick for the upcoming week, and the second will be to guess one stock to SHORT for the upcoming week. Winners will be determined by the best return on their picks.
